1st Annual Spring Student Showcase
The inaugural Spring Student Showcase at Buffalo State, an all-day campus-wide event scheduled for Wednesday, May 6, 2026. All classes will be cancelled on May 6 to ensure optimum participation in this dynamic celebration of student achievement and academic excellence. Designed to spotlight the impressive breadth and depth of talent of our students across all disciplines, the Showcase will bring together undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff, and the entire campus community in a vibrant and inclusive day of learning, discovery, and inspiration. Instead of regular classes, a full schedule of events is being planned, including signature programs such as the Student Research and Creativity Conference and the Graduate Research Fair. Attendees can also look forward to creative exhibitions, performances, workshops, and experiential learning presentations. All faculty are strongly encouraged to incorporate student participation—either as presenters or attendees—into their Spring 2026 course syllabi, helping to make this a meaningful and enriching learning experience for all students.

Information about Specific Events
The 28th Annual Student Research and Creativity Conference (SRCC) is the main morning (9:00-12:00) event of the inaugural Spring Student Showcase. Come interact with students presenting their scholarly work in poster sessions, oral presentations, and performances. A detailed schedule of events is available on the SRCC website.
The GSA Graduate Research Fair will be held in the early evening (4:00-6:00) during the Spring Student Showcase in Caudell Hall. Graduate students will present posters, deliver oral presentations, and participate in roundtable discussions. New this year, the 3-minute pitch competition will be open to both undergraduate and graduate participants and feature monetary prizes. Due to demand, the 3-Minute Pitch competition begins at 3:00.
New this year–The Graduate Research Fair will also feature a catered reception prepared and served by Hospitality and Tourism Students.
The Experiential Learning Fair will be held in Butler Library during the afternoon of the Spring Student Showcase. The Fair will spotlight student internships, service learning, international travel, PDP, and Honors projects. The event will also feature Buffalo State's Mock Trial team, International Student trivia competition, and an elevator pitch competition.
